Barkarbystaden - A New District with a Focus on Sustainability

Over a fifteen-year period, a completely new district is emerging here with nearly 40,000 new residents, workplaces, schools, shops, cafés, restaurants, culture, and services, all with the overarching goal of a sustainable Järfälla. The new Barkarbystaden will be a district with low energy consumption and excellent conditions for sustainable development.

Bas Barkarby - A Meeting Place for Business and Learning

BAS Barkarby is a vibrant central point next to the commuter train and upcoming subway station. It offers both private offices and shared spaces for co-working, conferences, lectures, and congresses. The same spaces are used by companies, visitors, and other businesses and associations. The activities benefit from each other and develop together.

Barkarby Science - A Development Arena for Sustainable Urban Development

Initiated by Järfälla Municipality and in collaboration with businesses and academia, Barkarby Science started in 2018 as a development arena in Järfälla for research, innovation, and education in community building and sustainable urban development. Together with Järfälla Municipality, several companies have been involved from the start of Barkarby Science: Atrium Ljungberg, E.ON Värme Sverige, NCC, and Skanska, to name a few.
