Hagastaden: Where Vasastan's Industrial Brick Meets Stockholm's New Skyline
By 2030, a new district will emerge at the intersection of Vasastan's industrial brick and Stockholm's new skyline. This area will accommodate 6,000 new homes and 50,000 new workplaces. The atmosphere in and around Stockholm's new district, which merges with Vasastan, creates a unique vibe unlike anything else. The large number of international companies and grand architecture here immediately evoke thoughts of other world metropolises, with a distinct attitude and identity.
When completed, Hagastaden will contain nearly 50,000 workplaces and 6,000 new homes. Here, business and research will blend with housing, meeting places, restaurants, and services, creating a vibrant district with an exciting contrast between historical environments and future architecture.
The excellent accessibility already present in the area will be further enhanced when the district gets a new metro station. The metro will be extended with a new line from Odenplan to Arenastaden. Along this line, three new stations will be created, connecting Vasastan with Solna: Hagastaden, Södra Hagalund, and Arenastaden.
Several Properties and Land Allocations
Atrium Ljungberg is one of the largest property owners in Hagastaden and has been present in the area for over 30 years. Here, we own and manage 105,000 square meters of office space, including characteristic industrial properties such as the former Apotekarnes Mineral Water Factory, Industricentralen, and the PV Palace, as well as the newly built Life City, a spectacular building in one of Sweden's most visually striking locations, directly above the E4 highway.
Atrium Ljungberg has several land allocations in the area where we will create a safe and sustainable district that will be active for much of the day and week. We are planning for urban quarters with both offices and residential buildings with lively ground floors.
