Atrium Ljungberg conduct the first issue of green bonds
On Monday 13 March Atrium Ljungberg issued SEK 1,300 million bonds with 5-year duration. The issue was carried out partly as a bond of SEK 1,100 million with a variable interest rate of Stibor 3M plus 1.15 per cent, and partly a fixed-rated bond of SEK 200 million with annual interest rate of 1.62 per cent. SEB was the organiser of the transaction and has also served as a consultant for the green framework. The company will apply for listing of the bond on Nasdaq Stockholm Sustainable Bonds List.

Our sustainability work is completely integrated in the business process and the step of offering green bonds feels like a natural part of the financing of our long-term sustainable properties,” , says Annica Ånäs, CEO of Atrium Ljungberg.
Atrium Ljungberg has a high level of ambition for the sustainability work where one of the targets is to certify the entire property portfolio by 2021.
“ There has been great interest in green bonds among both new and existing investors. We have also noticed greater demand after we received our public rating from Moody´s,” says Martin Lindqvist, CFO of Atrium Ljungberg.
In total there were 26 investors in the issue of which 20 were new investors in Atrium Ljungberg's bond. These accounted for 76 per cent of the issued volume. Among the new investors are Storebrand SPP, SEB IM, Första AP-fonden and Affirmative Investment Management.
